simplyCDPAP Rating: Average
One of the things that stands out the most with CHCA is thier reinvestment back into the care of the patient through their service. While this is commendable, the pay rate outside the New York City area is pretty much average.
CHCA does offer free HHA training, which would give CDPAP caregivers access to higher levels of patient care training and certification. This free training does help those interested in patient care or nursing a great way to spring into a new career.
Overall, CHCA is a good choice for those inside NYC to make a decent pay rate for CDPAP with the ability to also become an HHA to enhance their career. Outside of NYC, not so much.

How much does CHCA pay CDPAP caregivers?
New York City
Great pay for NYC. The rest of the state could use some major attention.
simplyCDPAP called 46 of the largest and most predominant CDPAP agencies in June of 2022 to see what the rates for caregivers were for Buffalo, NYC, and Nassau county. We used scenarios where the CDPAP patient had Fidelis as the plan and residing in these areas. All data displayed was provided directly by a representative of that particular agency and rates may vary. Some agencies opted to not answer the phone or return messages, which we have no control over.
What does CHCA reviews say?
Many of the high reviews don’t have too many comments. People seem to enjoy the training for HHA/PCA and opportunities the agency gives. Not much specific to CDPAP.
Not So Good At:
Same as many other home health agencies. Concerns about pay, rudeness of the staff, and management not knowing what is going on.
No reviews found.
Not much to go on with the limited reviews on Glassdoor.
