Allen Health/ Elara Caring
Address: 70-00 Austin St, Unit 2, Forest Hills, NY 11375
CEO: Scott Powers
simplyCDPAP Rating: Average
At some point, Allen Health and Elara Caring merged together but didn’t quite marry up the rebranding aside from redirecting Allen Health’s website to Elara’s which could cause some confusion in the customer.
Allen Health/ Elara is one of the highest paying CDPAP agencies in all of New York state. Elara, a large home health corporation spanning a dozen states, most likely gives the CDPAP caregivers a higher rate of pay as they are most likely able to roll up operations into currently established processes and manpower.
More money for the caregiver without the need of incurring too much additional operational costs most likely. Either way, this is a win for CDPAP caregivers.
While the pay is one of the highest for the state overall, customer reviews are a bit of a concern that you may want to be mindful of. As there seems to be little attention being given to the Google reviews to fix the relationship with patients and caregivers, use caution.

How much does Allen Health/ Elara pay CDPAP caregivers?
New York City
As one of the highest paying CDPAP agencies in all of New York, we believe that the amount they pair is extremely fair, primarily for Upstate/ Buffalo where most agencies only pay around $13.20/hr (minimum wage).
simplyCDPAP called 46 of the largest and most predominant CDPAP agencies in June of 2022 to see what the rates for caregivers were for Buffalo, NYC, and Nassau county. We used scenarios where the CDPAP patient had Fidelis as the plan and residing in these areas. All data displayed was provided directly by a representative of that particular agency and rates may vary. Some agencies opted to not answer the phone or return messages, which we have no control over.
What does Allen Health/ Elara reviews say?
Not much positive in the Google reviews. Overall they have a 2-star rating, one of the worst we have seen. Not seeing much difference between Allen Health and Elara in regards to quality.
Not So Good At:
Various concerns regarding management. Office staff doesn’t answer calls or return messages. Leadership is reported to be unprofessional and mistreats employees. Numerous reviews stating unorganized and discriminatory.
Nothing good here either. Complaints seem to stem more from their home health like nursing and PT, but not very positive at all.
Elara holds a very mediocre rating in regards to employee sentiment on how the company is lead and managed. Typical concerns you see with a bigger size corporation.
